What a time to be alive.

You don't need a degree. You need a prompt.

The intro of the hit collab album by Future + Drake echoes the ambience of 2026 — "What a Time to Be Alive."

Let me tell you why this is the best time ever to be alive: because never before have you had so many options — especially as a creator or entrepreneur.

This is how life used to be: you get a great idea, you research what it'll take to get it done, you set the plan in motion, and it either grows some legs months or years from that point — or it sits on the back burner forever because you lack the funds, the education, or the skills to get it going. So then you weigh more options → "Okay, is it worth me enrolling in courses for 'x' years and 'x' dollars? Should I take a 2nd job I hate, or risk cutting corners to get the startup capital?" And more times than not, your first venture fails and you're stuck right back where you started (except this time you have experience... but that's a topic for another time).

It used to be that by a certain age, you had to choose what you wanted to be for the rest of your life — now you don't. You can be many things. You can have many great ideas. You can be equally invested in 3 different projects (or way more) at once. And you don't need the education or funding in those subjects to do what you want anymore.

Now, that doesn't mean people with education and funding are cooked. In fact it could mean they have an even bigger advantage — as long as they learn to use AI to its limits — because they already know the field-specific words and questions to ask before ever opening a chat. But what it does mean is that people who don't have prior skills in a field, NOW have a seat at the table (as long as they learn to use AI to its limits).

The new skill to learn in 2026 is not anything to do with a degree or some other BS that society's trying to sell you — it's how-to-use-AI. Prompt engineering, as they call it.

Why? Because it can be used in ANY field. Every time you have a question, you ask (prompt) AI. You need a presentation that used to take hours or days, you tell AI (descriptively). You need an app, a website, a new outlook on your brand or sales strategy, you /plan with AI. And it breaks down everything you currently have and everything you're going to need to get (and how to get it) in order to attain your goals. It's kinda like LEGOs — if you've ever had the joy of opening a box and following the directions until your creation looks like the picture on the front.

The bad rap AI gets is that people think if it's doing everything for you, your work is unauthentic — that somehow using AI discredits the creator. But that couldn't be further from the truth. It's still a bunch of work. We just have access to bigger tools now. It's almost "if you can think it, you can make it." So the new skill is actually: how-well-can-you-use-your-brain... or what I really should say is, how willing are you to use your brain? Because you STILL have to describe your idea, plan, concerns, and vision so AI can help you the best it can. And you STILL have to develop incredible management skills. AI is nothing more than a tool.

And to people who have always hated on successful business owners — claiming the only reason those people are up is because one excuse or another — you're getting EXPOSED right now as the haters who never had any discipline, motivation, or creativity in the first place. Because now ALL the tools are available to become successful. They've made it easy to get started. So what's your excuse now?

Even if you don't have an idea of what to do or make, just start a conversation with AI. Tell it what you want. What you want out of life. What you want to represent. What you want to make (income-wise). What your skills are. What your interests are. What your culture and environment are like. Let it get to know you a little, then talk to it like you would a close friend or advisor. Pass ideas back and forth until you find something that fits — and RUN with it. Watch how far it takes you. Watch how it unlocks potential you always knew (or never knew) you had. You'll surprise yourself with how quickly you learn and the skills you acquire. It literally feels like your mind is expanding when you start managing multiple ideas and tasks at once in your own way.

And if you don't use AI — that's alright, too. You can sit back and watch as the world becomes ever-so-lit while you wait for your "perfect time" to get in. It's really never too late to start. New opportunities will keep coming, and the onboarding will keep getting more user-friendly as we go.

But for all the dogs working to take over the world one prompt at a time — your time is NOW. Continue to /plan. Continue to build. Manage. Earn. Create the world you always envisioned yourself living in.

I know I am.
